Ahhh, labor day weekend.  This was a miserable weekend for me.  Too many hamburgers and too much sitting in front of a tv.  want to see what i mean?

Finally Monday! = most hamburgers of all and im still at it, and was supposed to lift, forgot the gym was closed though…. damn me…

Yea, so that was the extent of my weekend… so horribly sad. oh well, the week started back up and im back into my normal healthy lifestyle. 

Today when i came home from the gym, my mom told me i had to cook dinner again on the grill.  This is normal for me, since i usually get stuck cooking.  anyways, i said let me eat, then ill go cook the steaks.  So me and my mom go in, and after about taking 20 min to eat, i took the steaks and went outside.  i open the door and this is all i see.

My mom didnt tell me she had turned the grill on… There was smoke everywhere in the yard.  I ran over and looked at it. Here she had it on high and i never warm it up on high, always low.  I felt its intense heat as i got closer, with even being close to it burning my skin.  I went to open it, as to let most of the smoke out, and it also cools off fast whens its open.  I opened it about an inch and an inferno of flames shot out, burning my arm.  I dropped the lid, and contemplated whatto do next.  All i knew was that it was hot… and i needed to open it, and there was lots of flames… 

So i turned all the valves and gas off, and i called me mom out asking her what the hell is wrong with her (ok not really… i would prob ge tin trouble if i did that… )  But after about a minute of being off. WE were finally able to open it

The whole bottom of the grill and all the charcoal was on fire.  the flames reached about 12 inches high, and were across the whole bottom.  We didnt even have the grill on yet, it had just gotten so hot all the grease on the bottom ignited, and all the charcoal were little fireballs.

Basically, it was not going out, and it ended up we had to hose it down… thus making more smoke… and it still took forever to go out.  But now our grill is ruined.

 at least it wasnt my fault.

Well, I was a overweight child my whole life, even since the first years of life, and it only got worse as i grew up.  This was mainly caused by my extended stays at my grandmother’s during my childhood.  I was often left there while my parents went to work.  There was only one problem, my grandmother would feed me everything and anything!

During that time, when your young, you dont really worry or even think about your physique.  So eating candy and sweet and tons of other foods seemed like a great thing to do.  and trust me, by no means did my grandmother try to stop me from eating mass junk, but she more so encouraged it. 

So my weight steadily increased, i weighed 200 lbs in 6th grade, but still didnt think much of it.

Then, after going through puberty around 13, I became very self concious of my body and what people thought of it.  I knew i was overweight. I knew i was different.  And i didnt like it at all.  But it was too late.  Eating is an addiction.  I know the struggles that obese people face, b/c i was once in the same boat. Its not impossible to lose weight, but its very hard, as hard as quitting drinking or smoking, or any other addiction. 

From age 13 and up, i told myself everyday I was going to do something about my weight, i was going to cut back and start exercising, but i just could never bring myself to do it.  My weight Steadily gained through high school, with me reaching 240lbs at age 17.  I knew i had to do something about it… my doctor had told me i was obese, and on top of that, my self esteem was non exsistent and i was emotionally scarred from the comments and mockery i recieved at school.  there were many a times i had cried about my weight, but still… i couldnt bring myself to do anything

Then finally! around the age of 17, after being labeled obese by my doctor, I said enoguh is enough, and i started praying for god’s help to give me the powe rto lose the weight. Nothing happened at first, but all of a sudden in 3 weeks (with me praying all the time) i started goin gto the gym, i started passing up sweets, i slowly adapted to a healthy life style giving up soda and iced tea and eating more lean foods, and i havent looked back since.

I know i have a long way to go, but i know ill get there someday.  I had a bit of a bad weekend with food this weekend, too many hamburgers, but come tommorrow, im back on the road again!

Well, today was a very unfortunate day for me.  I thought i was going to die. But luckily i didn’t, at least yet.  Yes… today i drank a spider. Not any normal spider, but a big spider!!!! like abnormally big for our area in PA.  It was a horribly disgusting story for me, but probably going to be a hilarious story for you… so here we go.

It all began when i pour myself a gatorade this morning. It was lemonade gatorade. It was good.

Then i put my drink on the counter where i always put it.  I wans’t done with my gatorade. As i left a half of glass.  Nut, i always put my drinks here, b/c this is where i keep my drinks so i can get it when i come back.  SO i left it and went upstairs to my computer…

*Meanwhile*

Downstairs my drink sat, sitting all calm and peaceful on the counter, not knowing what hide behind the toaster.  Then it happened! THe spider ran for the drink! and he crawled in for a drink.  Little did the spider know though thathe just had threw himself into the flood of yellow liquid. the spider swam around, not knowing what to do… unable to crawl out the glass he has gotten into.  So the spider decided he would relax and float around….

*back to me in my room*

There i sat, rotting away in front of my computer as usual, when all of a sudden, i got a urge for a drink!  Looking around my room quickly, i could not find a drink, but then… i remembered the gatorade!  I ran downstairs, grabbed the gatorade and ran back upstairs.  I set the Gatorade on my desk and continued my activity on the computer.

Then I reached for my drink, took it in my hand, and raised the glass to my mouth, ready for a huge drink

*activate slow motion mode now*

I brought the glass to my lips, and felt the reshreshing taste of lemonade gatorade. THEN, as i look down into my glass, i see the yellow gatorade rushing into my mouth, and coming down this river of gatoradE.. THE SPIDER!!!  I saw him coming!!!  He was moving around, still trying to get out of the drink!! right into my mouth he entered as i was taking this massive mouthful!

I tried to stop but it was too late and i had taken to fast and big a drink.  I felt a lump go down my throat, and the spider was now gone. 

I sat there for about 15 secs, thinking about what happened… saying to myself “did i really just swallow that spider!?”  then, it dawned on me.  I did just swallow that spider… and he was still alive… i am going to die….

Well, i felt really weird, stomach wise for the next 15 minutes. but eventually i got over it… and i am still alive.  At least now i have a good conversation starter.

and i told my one friend this story, and this is his recreation of the event.  He used victor krum from harry potter as me b/c he said i look like him.  and now that i think about it.. i kinda actually do. lol

So we all know that fast food restaurants are famous for there ability to screw up simple orders and make us annoyed.  But my latest misfortune of being one of their screw-ups has to be the worst order screw-up I ever experienced, and probably the worst order screw-up ever!

So, I usually go to wendy’s about 4 times a week after im done weight lifting. I get the same thing everytime. A grilled chicken sandwich with just lettuce and tomato, and a jr. bacon cheeseburger with no mayo.

So here we, on this misfortunate day, I went in and ordered:

- a grilled chicken sandwich with just lettuce and tomato
- a jr. bacon cheeseburger with no mayo

Well, I got it to go. Heres what I found in my bad when I got home.

- a baconater instead of a chicken sandwich! WTF!!! How the fuck do you confuse chicken and beef, much less a chicken sandwich and the like $7, 1000 calorie BACONATER!!!

I usually am even too lazy to post pictures with my blogs, but there intense stupidity has riled me up enough that i have to post pictures…… 

I mean I can see you ordered a chicken sandwich and you get a spicy chicken sandwich. But a fucking baconater!!! Wow. I was pissed.

- then I looked at my jr bacon cheeseburger… it had bacon, and the burger, but no lettuce…. No cheese…..   no tomatoes….. and finally to top it all off! HONEY MUSTARD SAUCE!!!!!!!!! I was pissed at the baconater… but this one really made me laugh at the stupidity of the wendy’s workers since the honey mustard sauce comes with only one sandwich…. And that is the grilled chicken sandwich….

O well, what can you do, that’s life.

Why I Hate EB games.

1. they are out of every single game you want 75% of the time
2. they tell you lies
3. wal-mart has everything you need, for about 25 cents cheaper too!

Let me elaborate. I don’t like to shop at wal-mart. Especially for games, and I will admit, wal-mart only holds new games. After a game is a few months old, don’t expect to find it. But like I said, I don’t like shopping there, so I go to EB games. Now, ive tried to support EB games by buying stuff there, but im not anymore b/c they are pissing me off. They never have the games I want, whenever they say a shipment is coming in, they are usually wrong. And they try to make you preorder everything. You cant go look at the coming soon shelf without a employee coming over every 5 min telling you how awesome these games are and asking you then if you want to preorder it. But these are only general reasons why I will never go there again. Here are 3 prime examples of how they fucked me up the ass this year.

1. I went to EB to look for Twilight Princess after I got my Wii. They were sold out, of course… So, I asked the guy when they would be getting new ones in. He said on Black Friday they were getting about 20 copies. I was like sweet. Having nothing better to do that day. Me and 2 friends who also wanted the game, joined me at 4AM black Friday morning, waiting outside the mall in the cold for it to open. We were first in line and psyched. Finally, the store opened and we marched to the desk and asked for TP. The guy was like, oh… we have been sold out of that for weeks. Im like “umm, the guy here the other day said you were getting about 20 copies in for black Friday” the guy is like “haha (me: wtf) we wont get any TP copies in for about another 2 weeks. Whoever told you that was very mistaken” So me and my friends were like wtf, they (my friends) got pissed and left. So then I went to walmart. And there was like 20 copies of TP… I called my friends and told them to come down and get a copy. But I was still pissed at EB.

2. I thought Super Paper Mario was coming out on a Monday, and I went to EB to look for it. The guy was like “no, its coming here tomorrow morning early, do you want to pre-order it.” I’m like, “no, ill just come in early and get it” the guy looks at me odd and goes “buddy, you better preorder it, or else your not going to get it, trust me” I’m all like… ok…. But finally I’m like why not, its not coming out till tom. Anyway, might as well. So, I paid my $5 bucks down, and took my slip home.

The next day came and I got to the store at about 12PM. I go up, show the guy my slip, and ask for the game. The guy looks at me odd, then goes “oh, super paper mario… our shipment didn’t come in yet.” I’m all like wtf. I go, “ well, I was here yesterday, and the guy said it was coming on a early truck” the employee goes, “oh, well, we don’t really know when they ever come, we just know the day. So I’m like, “well, is it coming today?” the guy goes, “yea, come back at about 5”

So in the meantime, I went to work and then had to go to walmart. There is super paper Mario, sitting there…. At this point I realize its 6PM, and I head back to EB. I go in, the same guy is there, he sees me coming, and goes to me “the truck didn’t come today, I don’t know why.” IM LIKE WTF!!!, he’s like, “I’m very sorry, it will be here tomorrow.” I’m all pissed off, so I ask, “can I just return my preorder and get my 5 dollars back… I found it elsewhere” he goes “no” so basically I had to wait till wendesday to get it.

3. Oh, and the last thing that pisses me off is simple. I went there looking for resident evil 4 for wii. I ask the guy if they have it. He says that the game isn’t made for wii. I’m like, yea it is. He’s like, no it isn’t…. finally after I proved to him the game existed, by showing them the box on display…. LoL.. he finally looks for it and they don’t have it. So I went to walmart and bought it. Just his stupidity as to how he was so certain the game didn’t exist pissed me off.

Basically, wal-mart has every game I wanted. They even have like 5 of the $500 ps3’s left and EB doesn’t have any ps3’s AT ALL, nor any 360’s premium or higher…. It’s a sad sad thing

So, my next game buy is metroid prime 3. will I be going to EB? HELL NO!!

well, as im not lucky enough to be invited to leipzig, my friend in europe is. Here’s what he thought of what he saw.

I was at this year’s Leipzig Games Convention and played Super Mario Galaxy (about 20 min.), Metroid Prime 3: Corruption (about 40 min.), Zack & Wiki (about 20 min.), Phantom Hourglass (about 10 min. and then I realised it indeed sucks ass) and many, many more titles waay before these will be released. But the real pinnacle of this all was meeting Koji Igarashi (Castlevania director since 1997) and Michiru Yamane (Castlevania composer since 1994). I can’t express my feelings back then, but think of it like meeting Shigeru Miyamoto en Koji Kondo on a place where you are actually not supposed to be. The coolest thing was that it just wasn’t merely greeting them and take a picture: no, I really spoke with them – most of the time with Yamane though. She seemed interested in me too, so not just vice versa and eventually both Igarashi and Yamane gave me their phonenumbers and address so I can interview them sometime.

It was very interesting to hear from him what some of the upcoming games were like. i was glad i have a friend that can give me some inside information. that way ill be sure of what games im going to pick up in the future.

well, i just got around to playing it, and after i put about an hour in. i can say it was def. worth its low price of $25 dollars.  The game has very good use of the controls, and so far its played not only smoothly, but very fun.

i would reccomend this game to anyone with a wii, especially considering it only costs $25.

GOD DAMN SCHOOL BOOK COSTS!!!!

by far, this has to be my biggest dislike about college. yes… buying books. why in hell a book can cost $150 dollars… i do not know. on top of that, ill probably use the book about 3 times… and when i try to sell it back, will only be given like a third of what i payed for it.

my books this semester are going to cost me $500…. that is the biggest bullshit of all.  If i could find a way out of it… i would.  I would literally spend all my free time conceiving a plan to not buy books for school.

its just a waste of money imo… but there is nothing  ican do about it. just got to suck it up and buy them…

well, this week has been a pretty hectic one, especially with me finding out i WAS going to school this fall. (i transfered late and i was pretty sure i wasnt making fall semester)  So now i have school next week, but of all things, my mind has been on video games mainly, since theres some great releases coming out, and plus im getting kinda disapointed in my wii..

Well heres some of the thing’s im thinking about:

School:

-might as well start with the biggest thing on my head now. This will be my second year and hopefully i can get on track after a miserable second semester at my old school, (miserable for too many reasons to mention) 

- I really didnt think i was going to make the fall semester. I applied to some school in Maryland first, back in spring, and i had full intentions of going there… until… i realized i wouldnt get any aid since it was an out of state school (i live in pa.) after reviewing rooming, food, and tuition, i was looking at a good 30,000$ a year… yea.. definately wasnt taking a loan for that much.

- So finally decided to put in another application at my state school about 5 miles away from me. i would have to commute, and i really hate commuting, but it would only be 10 min. not the 45 minutes it took before. plus, tuition was only 10,000 a year and i was bound to get state aid.

- so anyway, put that apllication in, in june. due to my old schools taking forever to send transcripts, it didnt complete till end of july. and now i just got my admissions offer package wednesday. and today i went and registered for classes. though i really feel funny about college.

- I really dont like college… i liked high school, and my parents say it IS JUST SCHOOL, but it feels so weird, idk, i just feel out of place there. its not like im a social outcast. i just more so feel like im wasting my time. especially im in my second year and like 75% of my classes thus far have nothing to do with what i want to have a career in. European history? why the fuck do i need to know that in a exercise science major?  Accounting? WTF!!! ok, maybe it will be good to know…l but it has like hardly anything to do with my major. so basically im just feeling like its all a waste….

-idk, ill see how my first semester goes. wish me luck.

WII:

-oh man, there has been so many things going on in my gaming life that im thinking about.  I got a wii back at launch, and its really disapointing me. i was always a nintendo fanboy, but i think perhaps ive grown out of the nintendo stage if you will.  I need more in my video games then some childish fun.

-Looking at the wii;s games so far, most are just collections of multiplayer games, which could be funny if you had people to actually play with.  unfortunately… im not throwing wii parties everynight…  the rest of the games are games like zelda, super paper mario, and the upcoming metroid prime 3. They are single player. and to be honest they are all the same. Great game, fun to play, BUT, once you beat it. thats it…. your done… theres no replay value. now, zelda TP is good enoguh that i could restart my game… but it will still be the same old game. Super paper mario is good fun, but i cant ever imagine playing it again, unless its like 5 years from now.

- really, the wii just needs one thing to make me happy. more online play!  since most of the games are multiplayer games (wii sports, wario ware, raving rabbids, you get the picture) why not emphasize on there online play. i know i could waste my life away playing wii sports online. it would never get old, but like i said, the game jsut sucks unless you have people to play with.. so you can see what im getting at here.

- while i dont think nintendo will ever adapt the old games for online play, i at least hope they wise up and iniate online play into all there games for all the single players looking for more then just a great play one time through. and i seriously hope SSBB has a GOOD online system. if not, not only will i be pissed, but so will millions of other fans and nintendo is goin gto get a ton of shit for it.

Bioshock?

-MAN… this game looks good!  I dont know if i want to down $50 bucks on it though, being has how its only single player. and after ranting about how much i dislike games without replay value… im wondering if it’s worth my $50. 

-who knows, i might get it. but theres a ton of other games im really looking forward too. Im looking forward to brawl, the orange box, oblivion (game of the year edition) hellgate london. for me, they are all definite buys. so ill see if bioshock joins that list.

Metroid Prime 3 – Rent or Buy?

-im bringing up my dislike for games without replay value and im wondering if MP3 will be one of them.  There is no multiplayer this time around. and the game is only single player. I wonder if i should just rent it, and beat it (which is what i should have did with SPM) or just buy it. also, i can rent it for freee as long as i want, b/c my mom has a plan where you pay $20 a month and you can take 2 movies/games for as long as you want. so i may just rent it. any opinions though. is it worth the buy?

I WANT A PS3!!!!

-i’ve really been looking into a second system. like i said, the wii is satisfying me enough, and ive pretty much decided if i get a new system. its going to be a ps3. whats killing me is the cost.

-but theres so many nice games coming out, and plus its got a ton of features. free online, blu ray, HD, too many too list. my friend showed me his. it was very sweet, there was only one major dowside. the loading times…. holy fuck, growing up on nintendo, im not used to loading times. but this was bad. we were playing some racing game… motor storm i think. i forget the name. lol. but a normal race was like 7-8 min and i kid you not. the loading time for the level was like 2-3 min. it was sickening.
-so anyone think ps3 is worth a buy?

FINALLY! COMPRESSING THE DAMN USER MOVIES! WTF IS WRONG WITH GT!!!:

-ok, sometimes they compress sometimes they dont…. i started using mp4 files and they were working beautifully. now i cant get one mp4 file to compress.  i tried making avis. some worked, then it stopped working. then i tried mpeg. it didnt work. i did wmv, it worked but it only played sound, no video….

- does anuyone know a foolproof method for getting your user movies onto the site? perhaps like what format to save as and what type of saving details.

-oh! and also… sometimes my movies compress, but wont allow me to choose a thumbnail, b/c there is one. its just the blue screen. does anyone knows why this happens. usually i reupload, but somethin gi just leave the video up with no thumbnail.
